sdWelcome to the R. Samuel McLaughlin Centre for Population Health Risk Assessment. The Centre is housed within the Institute of Population Health at the University of Ottawa and its goal is to continue to establish itself as a leading international research centre in the field of population health risk studies.

The Centre identifies potential health risks to Canadians, including genetic and biological, environmental and occupational, social and behaviourial risks by using the best available methodologies in health risk science.

The McLaughlin Centre serves as a resource to a range of stakeholders, including government, industry, and the public. Working with its partners in the federal government, the Centre articulates and analyzes policy options for controlling health risks, thereby contributing to the management of critical population health risks in Canada.

By working collaboratively within the comprehensive transdisciplinary framework, the McLaughlin Centre for Population Health Risk Assessment addresses important population health risks.
